The Friends of Point au Roche State Park

Thank you Peter Estus for the guidance and hard work you put into this group over your long tenure as our President. Peter led us with a quiet and reassuring management that has expanded the Friends impact at the Park.

During his time in office we have established two well-received and growing community events, the spring and fall field days. He has overseen improvements at the Nature Center and seen the establishment of a wonderful website and chaired many, many Board meetings. He has gotten his hands dirty during Park clean-ups along with spending hours handling behind the scenes executive duties, all with more good grace than could be expected.
